“The children’s imaginations were outstanding. They were excited draw and create stories. When they finished, they couldn’t wait to share their stories with the rest of the group. It was a fun exercise in story building for all of us – even the adults participated.”
The following are “Nate Rocks” inspired artwork created by children attending the Storytelling through Cartoons workshop presented by Karen Pokras Toz, author of the Nate Rocks series, at the Chestnut Hill Book Festival. Using pictures, the children were able to create their own adventures to take home. First through fourth graders created scenes that described a day at the beach, superheroes saving a toy store, and even an alien invasion.
